wedding wednesday: meghan and mike

Last summer my dearest friend got engaged. All year I've shared peaks of the inspirations and ideas as she planned her special day--This is the girl I've been friends with since we learned to read... We've helped each other through first kisses, first loves, heartbreaks, teen angst, packing for college {if you saw all the shoes she took you'd know why were BFFs} leaving home, getting jobs, going BACK to school... and so many horrible hair cuts it isn't worth counting.
So the fact that I was included so much in the planning of her wedding really means more than I could ever say. 


And now, I am every so pleased to present the Getz-Metzger wedding- from inspiration to reality.

hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July! I spent the weekend in our Nation's Capitol...and the surrounding area, with my summer-time best friend- we're used to being in Northern Michigan for the 4th. DC was about 100x hotter...but still a fun filled mini-vacation:

Wedding!

As we anxiously await the photographers pictures of Meghan & Mike's wedding- I thought I'd share a peek at a few taken by various wedding guests... 

less than a week....

My best friend, Meghan, is getting married-- ON SUNDAY. And I finally have my bridesmaid ensemble completed. Well- almost. I JUST found the shoes (yesterday, yikes) and they haven't arrived yet. But (knock-on-wood) they are perfect.

a magical engagement

SO- my BFF Meghan {the one getting married in the spring...} just got her engagement pictures--and they are so unbelievably cute I had to share--all taken by the talented Kate Headley.
