Wanderlust - Part 1

Usually when a J. Crew catalog arrives the only danger to my wallet is the temptation of a new blazer or pair of slacks. This month however it has me itching to hop a flight to Russia... (plus, clearly, I'll need the new clothes for the journey)  

 

...Which made me realize that I have really never been anywhere outside of the US of A. (Besides Paris one time...!) So I made myself a list of cities I need to get myself to, ASAP - St. Petersburg is one of them (& not JUST because of J. Crew...) stay tuned for more soon ;)

Magic Closet: J Crew Fall

Do you ever wish you had a magical closet you could put a magazine picture of an outfit into- and POOF it would appear inside as real clothes? (perfectly tailored in your size...clearly) No? OK- it's just me then... (but for real, how amazing would that be? anyone familiar with that sort of technology?) 
Today I would like my magic closet to produce either of these looks:

exactly my inspiration for my spring graduation wear (Kelsey's and Meghan's...) this is what i have so far:



the dress is mine-- i got it on sale, with a sale on sale discount. which was thrilling to me. the shoes are still just a dream. these are at the top of the list:

and although i am head over heels  they may be a little over budget. no worries, i have a cost saving option as well: however i can't show you right now b/c the payless website is down.

(yes payless is the reason i can own so many pairs of shoes and still put food on the table...) :)
