monday blues
Mondays are not my favorite days. Especially not after 5 day weekends. So here are some pretty things to help me through the last Monday in November.

feathered friends
It's that time of the year! Time for pumpkin pie, turkey, tales of Pilgrims, and cozy sweaters. yum.

i'm loving...
Vintage Globes! {perhaps sprung from my love of maps} I think I like them best arranged in clusters... so worldly.

So I am sure you can imagine my joy when I came across this sweet wedding on project wedding:

now we can swim any day in november....
"...Last night i had that strange dream / Where everything was exactly how it seemed / Where concerns about the world getting warmer / The people thought they were just being rewarded / For treating others as they like to be treated / For obeying stop signs and curing diseases / For mailing letters with the address of the sender / Now we can swim any day in November..."- the postal service

trying to make pink modern...
Kelsey and I are hosting our very own Thanksgiving this year--for the first time {without the help of mom!} And, although there will only be a few of us I still want to be fancy :) SO, taking a page from DwellStudio's Modern Thanksgiving Contest {though I doubt I'm eligible} I'm attempting to make my girly pink dishes look modern... Here's the first try:
not sure if I'm there yet...
maybe if it was Easter ...

I was famous JUST so I could get dressed up for fancy formal events all the time:

How Fabulous right? {...I'm obsessed with those heels, thanks to DwellStudio's Christiane}
I'll meet up with all my closest friends:

We'll be the talk of the blogs tomorrow. You can come too! What are you going to wear?

my parents were awesome
definitely just subscribed to the feed for myparentswereawesome. which is an awesome blog that posts pictures of parents before they changed diapers. it's a different world.
couldn't find any old pictures of my mom, but here's one of our dear old pop, doug fuller. sometimes i find it hard to believe he was ever that cool.

fall fashions
for some reason i really love the nicole farhi fall collection. there's nothing really spectacular of stunning about it- but every look has a cozy yet polished feel. seems just perfect for this fall...

floor-plans
it's taken a while for the re-dec project to get up to speed--but we're starting to look pretty good. this is the new floor plan:
we're pretty excited about the EXPEDIT shelf/desk combo...we may have been thinking about it for a while... we also have a plan to move all of our books out into the living room bookshelves-now we have them all in our rooms-the idea is that having books in the living room will make us look more interesting--who wouldn't be impressed that we own the full Harry Potter Series and Twilight Saga...hmmm?
the big idea is to create 2 new spaces- the work space and the TV/living space. We've drawn inspiration from Ikea:
