Oscar Predictions- 2011

When it comes to the Oscars, we are genuinely obsessed- with the awards show itself and with the red carpet. In fact, for every time one of us re-works the Oscar prediction ballot, we both will obsess over the fall and spring lines three times more. Who are you wearing? How are you styled? How can we critique you? We'll pop some prosecco and pretend we are Joan and Melissa Rivers (and we will be... someday). We are the queens of fashion, as far as our living-room is concerned, and a camera might as well be on us, nit-picking every last hair curl.

Recently we've mastered the red carpet entrance. From the second our "celebs-to-watch" exit their limos, clutches in hand, we yell out the designer. "Oh of course she's in Oscar de la Renta... again YAWN." "Is that Marc Jacobs?" "That has to be vintage Chanel." And off we go. It might be our favorite part of the show. Actually, I think it's safe to say that it definitely is. Two hours into the awards and we're still tweeting about how ridiculous Jennifer Lopez looks... again. So, here are our Oscar predictions 2011.. and no, I don't mean Natalie Portman taking home the little gold man.

Anne Hathaway, Oscars, Red Carpet Dresses
We're pretty obsessed with Naeem Kahn, how could you not be? And Anne needs to pull out all the stops for her hosting gig- after her Armani Prive at the Golden Globes the bar is set pretty high. Sparkly bodice, feathered skirt? We're sold. Anne- you should be too.
Amy Adams, Claire Danes, Oscar Red Carpet, Monique Lhuillier, Temperley London
Claire Danes (top), was an all-time favorite at the SAGs. That Louis Vuitton gown was breathtaking-- both on video and in stills. In fact, she has failed to disappoint this year. This Monique Lhuillier stunner, fresh off the Fall 2011 runway, would lock her in as fashion icon of this awards season.

Amy Adams is always willing to take a risk, and it doesn't always pan out. Last year she blended with the carpet a little too much- we're pulling for her to go for contrast this year, in Temperley London.

Sandra Bullock, Oscars Red Carpet, Jason Wu, 2011
Oh Sandra, America's sweetheart. She will definitely be at the show this year, to present the new Best Actress trophy. But what will she wear? Sandra's been all over the place recently- in life and in clothing. And we've decided that she should be dressed by Jason Wu for the big night. We both lost it when we saw this work of art come down the runway.

Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Red Carpet, Jason Wu, Naeem Khan 2011
We're putting Mila Kunis (top) in a knock-out by Naeem Khan. Mostly because we love the dress and NEED someone to wear it. But also because she'd look pretty damn good in it.

Next up, Michelle Williams. Lately she seems to enjoy dresses that look like they should be worn only by girls under the age of 12- her Golden Globes frock was a prime example- We think this Jason Wu dress will give her the look she loves and turn her back into the the red-carpet queen we love.
Natalie Portman, Red Carpet, Oscars, Dior, Rodarte, Lanvin, 2011
And Natalie. All eyes will be on her- and she knows it. She's been playing it chic this year, and deviating from her normal love affair with Rodarte. So we picked this feathered Dior number for her, might as well make it painfully clear what she got the nom for, yes? And a baby bump, the hollywood hot accessory of 2011, would compliment this dress beautifully.

What do you think of our Oscar predictions this year? What are yours?
