Sunday Best- Halloween

It's the spookiest night of the year, but while most people are outfitting themselves in creepy and clever costumes, I'm cuddled up with my computer studying for a mid-term and recovering from a cold (boo-hoo!) But don't feel sorry for me, I have some sweet fashion treats to indulge in-

Happy Halloween!  {and head over to coco + kelley for a few more treats}

Rompers, Jumpers, Judgements

I have learned many things about fashion over the years-the most important has to be "never say never." I used to swear I'd never wear black with navy or socks with heels. There was a time I even claimed I would never wear skinny jeans--now they are staples of my wardrobe. But-oh-the Romper. Sneaking onto the fashion scene a few seasons ago they took a strong hold this Spring, but my nose stayed turned up.
Until now.
Why is it that I have become so tempted by the trend?

Coco makes hers look so chic. And then I fell in love with this one, spotted on ModCloth:

But--could I pull it off? What about with a black blazer and ankle booties? Would it work for a day at the office? I think I'd feel like I was wearing PJs... wait, that actually sonds pretty amazing. And at $50 it might be worth a shot. What do you think? Should I give it a go- or would  you totally judge me?

Francophile

Bonjour mes chéries. If you are anything like me- you love all things French- the language, the food, the landmarks, and bien sur-- the fashion!

So it goes without saying--I am head over heels for this editorial in Marie Claire Italia. The looks are perfect for fall- a chic mix of textures and shapes- just like the setting, Paris.

Citrus Details

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if every Spring trend was crammed into one runway show? What about into one look? Wonder no longer my dears- observe Dolce & Gabbana:

Sheer- check, Lace- check, floral- check, leopard- check, platforms- check. And still- so chic, right? I'm impressed. Oh- and don't forget the hints of citrus- which were also spotted in the details of Burberry Prorsum

Citrus themes were not so subtle at Stella McCartney...
It looks like it will be a bright and tangy spring, can't wait.

Magic Closet: J Crew Fall

Do you ever wish you had a magical closet you could put a magazine picture of an outfit into- and POOF it would appear inside as real clothes? (perfectly tailored in your size...clearly) No? OK- it's just me then... (but for real, how amazing would that be? anyone familiar with that sort of technology?)
Today I would like my magic closet to produce either of these looks:

PS- don't forget to check out my post on Coco + Kelley today. The magic closet can feel free to provide that look as well...

Monday Sparklers

Hope everyone had a great weekend--for some of you it's still going, for me it's just another Monday. I thought adding some sequins would brighten things up a bit.
