Winter Winter Winter

I'll admit it, there are many magical things about winter, but I always struggle when it shows up. The bitter cold of the East Coast seriously messes with my style. I don't want to leave the apartment in anything besides my huge down jacket and snow boots... with sweat-pants and ear muffs. A big fuzzy blanket would be nice too. Just to top off that awesome look.

Maybe a nice pair of red tights will help?

Sunday Best- Last Minute Shopping

Don't worry- you can do it. Brave the flurries and the chill and snap up those gifties! And if you need a little outfit inspiration to get you going- how about a cozy Topshop sweater and some Loeffler Randall rain booties?

The Colors of Pre-Fall

I'm really enjoying the causal elegance of 2011's Pre-Fall collections- not to mention the wonderfully saturated colors...

All lovely. But I think these two are my very favorite so far....

Sunday Best- Holiday Glam

Have a holiday party coming up? Fabulous! Throw on this gold satin Elizabeth and James dress and you'll stun them all. A few galm additions- like knock-out pumps by Karen Millen and a cluster of pearls from Vera Wang complete this glitzy get-up. Throw on a Top Shop cardigan to add some texture, grab your Chanel clutch and you're ready to raise your glass to holiday cheer!

London Calling

Nothing beats the loss of Daylight Savings Time blues like some good British inspired fashion. In un-related news: my obsessions with camel and red continue... How is everyone's week so far?

Style Crush- Emma Watson

We first met Miss Watson when she was cast as the bushy-haired, buck-toothed, bookworm Hermione of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
My has she grown up since then. And with her fabulous post-Potter-Pixie, I'll admit it, I'm a little bit jealous- of her style evolution...

Emma is wearing Burberry-- but add a braided-belt to ModCloth's Gold Dust Gal dress and you are Fashion week ready, just like magic.

Sunday Best- Halloween

It's the spookiest night of the year, but while most people are outfitting themselves in creepy and clever costumes, I'm cuddled up with my computer studying for a mid-term and recovering from a cold (boo-hoo!) But don't feel sorry for me, I have some sweet fashion treats to indulge in-

Happy Halloween!  {and head over to coco + kelley for a few more treats}

Rompers, Jumpers, Judgements

I have learned many things about fashion over the years-the most important has to be "never say never." I used to swear I'd never wear black with navy or socks with heels. There was a time I even claimed I would never wear skinny jeans--now they are staples of my wardrobe. But-oh-the Romper. Sneaking onto the fashion scene a few seasons ago they took a strong hold this Spring, but my nose stayed turned up.
Until now.
Why is it that I have become so tempted by the trend?

Coco makes hers look so chic. And then I fell in love with this one, spotted on ModCloth:

But--could I pull it off? What about with a black blazer and ankle booties? Would it work for a day at the office? I think I'd feel like I was wearing PJs... wait, that actually sonds pretty amazing. And at $50 it might be worth a shot. What do you think? Should I give it a go- or would  you totally judge me?

Francophile

Bonjour mes chéries. If you are anything like me- you love all things French- the language, the food, the landmarks, and bien sur-- the fashion!

So it goes without saying--I am head over heels for this editorial in Marie Claire Italia. The looks are perfect for fall- a chic mix of textures and shapes- just like the setting, Paris.
