Weekend Wanderings
It was freezing this weekend in New York. But our friends Meghan and Mike were visiting from DC and we ventured out into the cold for some adventures- most involving food, all involving my new camera (a Canon rebel t1i that I am in love with...) What did you do this weekend?

Happy Friday
Do you ever fell like your life is never going to slow down--that you'll always be running somewhere, or playing catch up with something? Like you are always too busy to stop for even just one second and do something you actually want to do? That is how I feel right now--and it is exhausting!
I wish I had a print out of the Fail Whale to carry around with me and just flash at anyone I don't want to deal with!
Do you ever get burned-out? What do you do to re-charge?

island camping
This weekend my friends and I took a camping trip--to the Norwalk Islands off the coast of Connecticut.
It was perfection--there was biking, boating, bonfires-- and a lot of ocean swimming. Besides making me miss summer vacation, the adventure also reminded me how awesome my hair gets in the ocean- just a quick dip and suddenly the out-of-control frizzy mess {think Hermione Granger} that is my hair becomes manageable. Or at least I think it does... {there were no mirrors around- but my shadow looked pretty sweet...}
So my new goal is to find a way to get my hair salt-water-stylish... without having to take a dip in the ocean every morning... {or- to find a way to take a dip in the ocean every morning...whichever}

rabbit, rabbit....
Our Grandmother says that if the first thing you say on the first of every month is "rabbit, rabbit" and you'll have good luck that month. Kelsey and I find it hard to remember.
But Today I did.
Today I also got pick to serve on a Grand Jury for the rest of this month. I could be upset and grumpy about it--but I'm choosing not to be. I said "Rabbit, Rabbit!" I'm supposed to have good luck all month-- something good is going to come of this.
I'm trusting you rabbits. Don't let me down.
PS:(GUESS who is in the training video we watched to learn about Grand Jury Duty. SAM WATERSTON. I died of joy. I think juror number 9 (I'm #10... ) was amused by my excitement... but whatever. How good is that? High five Jury video makers. Job well done.)
