I had to do a photo-shoot for my fashion journalism final project... Kelsey took the pictures, we're pretty proud of it :)

the first thanksgiving...

It was a lot of work... but we pulled it off! Hope everyone had a great holiday!

yesterday kelsey and i set out to explore the museum mile festival with the intent of visiting the guggenheim for free. however, most of new york must have shared our stroke of brilliance as the line to get in stretched down and around the block. not in the mood for waiting we wandered down fifth avenue observing the sidewalk chalk mural being created by a multitude of impromptu artists and eating hot dogs, we ended up at the Met. once inside we were serendipitously led to the special exhibition: The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion. it was such a treat.

another year

monday night found me at a lovely party thrown by my wonderful friends- which clearly took me by complete surprise. there was pizza and champagne, and trick candles. it was fabulous.

now for more serious matters- i am shocked that i have reached the quarter century mark and my wardrobe is lacking all of the classic staples. we have already learned that i do not possess a trench coat, but i'm also missing the perfect Little Black Dress, i don't own a pencil skirt and my closet does not contain anything in cashmere. heartbreaking, i know. my plan for this year is to rectify this problem--with tim gunn's guide as my starting point. are you ready? this is going to be fun...

this made me smile. maybe because there have been similar pictures of me and K... well, in so much as the pictures included 2 girls and an Amtrak train. we would never have been quite that stylish...
