Tis the Season!
This is not a widely known fact--but I do not celebrate Christmas. Don't worry- we still get a tree and presents and the like- but true to my hippie roots (Berkeley, Santa Cruz... what did you expect?) I grew up celebrating the Winter Solstice.** SO when it comes time for picking cards to send I am always faced with the challenge of finding the "non-denominational" gems. Here are my picks for this year:

Which do you like best?
** I should just go ahead and change my gift guide to patchouli oil and incense, shouldn't I?

The Studio Gift Guide
SO- everyone should be sure to check out Christiane's blog over at DwellStudio-- http://www.dwellstudio.com/Blog -- because she is a great blogger and always finds the best things to share, and I'm not just saying that because she featured ME in her latest gift guide (but that's a good reason too... I know you are all dying to know what I what for Christmas...) Yay!

what to wear: winter wedding
A good friend of mine recently asked for my opinion on what she should wear to a winter wedding. Here are a few suggestions:
-Think darker colors and heavier fabrics
-Accessorize with pops of color or sparkle
-Take advantage of tights!
Try this look for a less formal event:
{shop this look} {Dress: modcloth, Shrug: Forever 21, Clutch: payless, Flats: Piperlime, Tights: modcloth}
Or dress it up a little more for an evening affair or fancier location:
{shop this look} {Dress: bluefly, Necklace: modcloth, Shoes: zappos}
stay tuned.. more ideas to come...
